The new BS Block at IMCB F-10/4 Islamabad was inaugurated today in a graceful ceremony by Prof. Dr. Yaseen Afaqi, Deputy Director General, Federal Directorate of Education.
The respected guest was warmly welcomed by the Principal, faculty members, and BS students upon his arrival. The ceremony began with a ribbon-cutting, formally inaugurating the new BS Block. Prof. Dr. Yaseen Afaqi then unveiled the name slab by removing the curtain, marking the official opening of the building. To celebrate the occasion, he also cut a cake along with the administration and students.
A short and dignified ceremony was arranged by the BS students. The program commenced with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an (Tilawat), after which the honorable guest was invited to the stage amid applause.
In his address, Prof. Dr. Yaseen Afaqi emphasized the importance of studying literature in this fast-paced electronic world. He highlighted that literature shapes critical thinking, creativity, and emotional intelligence. He advised students to remain sharp, eager, and research-oriented in their academic pursuits, stressing that serious and focused study is the key to success in modern times.
Following his speech, the Principal addressed the gathering and underscored the importance of continuing the BS English program in the college. He expressed concern over the suspension of new admissions/intake by the authorities in the previous autumn semester and emphasized the need to sustain and strengthen higher education opportunities within the institution. He extended heartfelt thanks to Prof. Dr. Yaseen Afaqi for gracing the occasion with his presence.
The ceremony concluded on a hopeful note, with a collective commitment from the administration, faculty, and students to utilize the new BS Block for achieving the best academic outcomes and ensuring quality education for the students.
